Last year, a friend asked what I thought of elderberry syrup because she swears it works to prevent colds in her 3-year-old daughter (and unlike some remedies, it actually tastes good!).

The short answer is that studies about the efficacy of elderberry syrup are very promising: studies show it decreases the duration of the influenza virus by four days and cold viruses by even more.

Since we investigated elderberry syrup, we have been looking for a brand to carry, and now we’ve found one!

A handcrafted herbal mixture loaded with vitamins, minerals, and anthocyanins, Andi Lynn’s custom formulation of black elderberry (Sambucus nigra) is both potent and delicious.

The recommended serving size is 1 or 2 tsps. a day for regular use. For more intensive use you can increase the serving amount up to 6 tsps. a day.
